The Gorakhpur Environmental Action Group has launched the website (www.hamaragorakhpur.com)  on 6 December 2011. The Mayor of the Gorakhpur city, Ms Anju Chaudhary has inaugurated the website. The purpose of the website is to cater information of Gorakhpur city related to inter-relationship of Climate Change, Environment & Development. The website comprises the information of Institutions, schemes and programmes related with city development, research papers, reports, maps, articles, data, photographs of solid waste, sanitation and water logging, fact sheet etc. related to such issues. The website also request government departments, academic institutions, media, citizen’s group etc. to add information related to Climate change, Environment & development on the website. The website clearly ensured that the added information will be fully belongs to the contributors and they will be prominently mentioned. The website is expected to develop the interest of common citizens in the issues and challenges of Gorakhpur city, towards their active participation in development and governance of the city.
