The strategy has worked very well and within a short span of two years of field piloting, it was observed that there are significant impacts in terms of better preparedness, direct linkage with relevant department and schemes, reduction in losses-through adapted agriculture and advocacy for the rights of suffering people. There are ranges of activities which have helped more than 80 percent of the households in the selected villages. One of the very encouraging impact is the sustainability of interventions- in the last one year. GEAG has minimum intervention in the villages but the activities are continuing with optimum pace through these community managed institutions.
